Your privacy matters to AppChex. This Privacy Policy describes what information we collect, why we collect it, how it is used and protected, and what choices you have. It applies whenever you access or use the AppChex platform and related services.

By using the Services, you confirm that you have read and agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

1. Who This Policy Applies To

The Services are designed for individuals and businesses who are at least 18 years of age. AppChex does not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you are under 18, you must not use the Services or provide any personal information.

2. What This Policy Covers

This Privacy Policy applies to personal information collected:

  • Through the AppChex website at https://www.appchex.org/
  • When you create an account, schedule a demo, submit a form, or contact AppChex
  • Through your use of the Platform, including dashboards, analytics, and integrations
  • Through SMS or push notification communications related to your account
  • When a business client submits information through the AppChex platform on behalf of its organization

This Policy does not govern the practices of third-party websites, services, or applications that are not owned or operated by AppChex.

Platform Communication Tools and End User Data

The Platform includes CRM, email campaign, push notification, and SMS tools ("Communication Tools") that clients use to communicate with their own end users. When you use these Communication Tools, end user data—including phone numbers, email addresses, and other personal information—may be processed through the Platform on your behalf.

This Privacy Policy describes how AppChex handles data within the Platform infrastructure. However, as a client, you are the party responsible for obtaining proper consent from your end users and for complying with all applicable privacy laws in connection with the data you collect and the communications you send through the Communication Tools. Your obligations regarding consent, data handling, and lawful use of the Communication Tools are set forth in Section 6 of the AppChex Terms of Service.

3. Information We Collect

Information You Provide Directly

We collect information that you voluntarily submit to us, which may include:

  • Name and company name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Job title or position
  • Company size (number of employees)
  • Scheduling preferences (such as preferred date, time zone, time for a demo call)
  • Account application or business related information
  • End user data that you submit or process through the Platform's Communication Tools
  • Information submitted through forms, workflows, or third-party integrations
  • Messages and attachments sent to our support team

Information Collected Through Technology

When you visit our Website or use the Platform, certain technical data may be collected automatically, including:

  • Operating system and device information
  • Date, time, and duration of your visit
  • Pages viewed and actions taken within the Platform

The service-related communications described above (such as reminders, service notifications, account updates, and alerts) are operational messages sent by AppChex to support your use of the Platform and are not considered marketing.

End User Data Processed Through Communication Tools

When you use the Platform's Communication Tools, AppChex processes end user data on your behalf for the purpose of delivering the communications you initiate. AppChex does not use end user data submitted through the Communication Tools for its own marketing, advertising, or promotional purposes. Your responsibilities for obtaining consent, handling data, and complying with applicable law when using the Communication Tools are governed by Section 6 of the Terms of Service.

5. How We Share Your Information

AppChex does not sell your personal information. We do not share personal information for targeted advertising or cross-context behavioral tracking.

We may disclose information only in the following circumstances:

  • As necessary to provide and operate the Services you have requested, including the delivery of communications you send through the Platform's Communication Tools
  • To trusted service providers who perform work on our behalf and are bound by confidentiality obligations
  • When required by law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable governmental request
  • To protect the rights, safety, security, or integrity of AppChex, the Platform, or our users

Data submitted through the Communication Tools—including end user SMS data and email addresses—is never shared with third parties for advertising or cross-context behavioral purposes.

6. SMS Communications

This section applies to SMS messages that AppChex sends directly to you as a client. SMS messages you send to your own end users through the Platform's Communication Tools are governed by the compliance obligations in Section 6 of the Terms of Service.

If you opt in, AppChex may send you service-related SMS messages triggered by your account activity. By providing your phone number and opting in, you consent to receive automated SMS messages from AppChex related to reminders, service notifications, account updates, alerts, and verification messages initiated by user activity.

Message frequency depends on your usage and account activity. Standard message and data rates from your carrier may apply.

You can opt out at any time by replying STOP. For help, reply HELP or email help@appchex.org.

Your mobile information will not be sold or shared with third parties.

7. Push Notifications

This section applies to push notifications that AppChex sends directly to you as a client. Push notifications you send to your own end users through the Platform's Communication Tools are governed by the compliance obligations in Section 6 of the Terms of Service.

AppChex may send you push notifications through your browser or device related to account alerts, service notifications, and platform updates. You may opt out at any time through your device or browser notification settings.

AppChex does not contact clients via email or telephone for notification purposes. Any email communications from AppChex are limited to direct responses to support requests you initiate and transactional messages related to your account (such as security alerts and payment confirmations).

8. Data Protection

AppChex employs reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to safeguard personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Data may be stored or processed using secure third-party infrastructure.

However, no method of electronic transmission or data storage is entirely secure. While we strive to protect your information, absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

9. How Long We Keep Your Information

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to:

  • Deliver and maintain the Services
  • Fulfill legal, tax, and compliance obligations
  • Resolve disputes and enforce our agreements

When information is no longer needed for any of these purposes, it is securely deleted or anonymized. End user data processed through the Communication Tools is retained in accordance with the same standards and is deleted upon account termination or upon your request.

10. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you reside, applicable law may grant you certain rights regarding your personal information, including the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
  • Request deletion of your personal information
  • Obtain details about how your information is used and with whom it is shared
  • Restrict or limit the processing of sensitive personal information

As described in Section 11, AppChex does not sell or share your personal information for advertising or cross-context behavioral purposes. If our practices change in the future, we will update this Policy and provide a mechanism to exercise that right.

11. Do Not Sell or Share

AppChex does not:

  • Sell personal information to any party for any purpose
  • Share personal information for targeted or cross-context behavioral advertising
  • Use sensitive personal data for purposes not disclosed in this Policy

12. Do Not Track Signals

At this time, AppChex does not respond to browser-based Do Not Track signals. There is currently no universally accepted standard for how to handle these signals.

13. Children's Privacy

The Services are not directed to anyone under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that personal information has been collected from a child under 18, we will take prompt steps to delete that information.

14. Third-Party Links

Our Website or Platform may include links to websites or services operated by third parties. AppChex has no control over and assumes no responsibility for the content, privacy practices, or policies of those sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any third-party service before submitting personal information.

15. Business Transfers

In the event that AppChex is involved in a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction. If such a transfer occurs, we will provide notice as required by applicable law.

We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, the updated version will be posted on this page and the "Last Updated" date at the top will be revised accordingly. Your continued use of the Services after any changes are posted means you accept the updated Policy.
